Why per-send and not per-MAU?
Per-user pricing punishes B2C apps with passive userbases — every signed-up-and-forgot account costs you money. Per-send scales with the value you're actually delivering.
Do you charge for failed sends?
No. Sends to expired or invalidated tokens (unregistered, 404 gone) don't count against your quota.
What happens when I hit my quota?
Soft-block with a 48-hour grace window. We email you. Extra sends are billed at the next-tier per-1k rate — no surprise upgrades. Free tier hard-stops until next month.
Where is data stored?
Hetzner Finland (Helsinki). EU data residency is the default on Pro and Business; Business adds a US active-passive replica.
Open-source version?
The upstream OSS project is at productdevbook/nitroping . nitroping.dev runs a different codebase optimized for hosted use.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades at the end of the billing period.
